We asked Mary about her experience of meeting Angel Gabriel. In a nutshell, this is what we understood.
Mary was highly favored. God was with her. Mary was a young woman of outstanding moral and spiritual character.
Mary was submissive to God. She worried so much about how to break the news of her pregnancy. Several emotions churned through her mind and many thoughts crossed her mind. She expected Joseph to treat her badly when she shared her pregnancy news. She was afraid she may lose Joseph in that process. She must have counted to be a social outcast, with no idea how she would raise her Child.
Yet, she told Angel Gabriel - "May it be to me as you have said" (Luke 1:38).
As a woman of faith, she ran many miles from Nazareth to the hills of Judea - she had to see Elizabeth!
Yeah, we did not get an opportunity to come spend time here yesterday - remember, we were with Joseph and Mary, on the road.
