A lawyer named Strange died, and his friend asked the tombstone maker to inscribe on his tombstone, "Here lies Strange, an honest man, and a lawyer."

The inscriber insisted that such an inscription would be confusing, for passersby would tend to think that three men were buried under the stone. However he suggested an alternative:

He would inscribe, "Here lies a man who was both honest and a lawyer." That way, whenever anyone walked by the tombstone and read it, they would be certain to remark: "That's Strange!"

Wisdom - a preview

Wisdom is radiant and unfading,
And she is easily discerned by those who love her,
And is found by those who seek her.

She hastens to make herself known to those who desire her.
He who rises early to seek her will have no difficulty,
For he will find her sitting at his gates.

To fix one's thought on her is perfect understanding,
And he who is vigilant on her account will
Soon be free from care,
Because she goes about seeking those worthy of her,
And she graciously appears to them in their paths,
And meets them in every thought.

The beginning of wisdom is the most sincere
Desire for instruction,
And concern for instruction is love of her,
And love of her is the keeping of her laws,
And giving heed to her laws is assurance of immortality,
And immortality brings one near to God;
So the desire for wisdom leads to a kingdom.

Thank you Lord

Thank you Lord Jesus for all that you do
For blessings our hearts with the knowledge and truth

You give us the blessings that we ever need
And each special day with bread us you feed

You fill us with water when we are in thirst
And we know in our hearts you’ll always be first

You gave us salvation and died on that cross
And we’ll never know the price that it cost

You did it to give us salvation, hope, faith
And now in heaven your followers you await

For you are almighty and powerful to
And no one accomplishes miracles like you

We thank you again Lord for all that you do
For we know your kingdom will be coming soon.

In Orlando

"I wanted to live, but whether I would or not was mystery, and in the midst of confronting that fact, even at that moment, I was beginning to sense that to stare into the heart of such a fearful mystery wasn't a bad thing. To be afraid is a priceless education." - Lance Armstrong.

Good Morning. I woke up in the wonderful city or Orlando this morning and am heading out to listen to Lance Armstrong talk in about an hour.  I am here as part of an SAP Conference and will return Thursday.

Lance Armstrong is an inspiration to all of us. He once asked, "What is stronger - fear or hope?"

Mother's day

Happy Mother's Day.

Mothers of famous people

Mona Lisa's mother:
"After all that money your father and I spent on braces, Mona, is that the biggest smile you can give us?"

Humpty Dumpty's mother:
"Humpty, if I've told you once, I've told you a hundred times not to sit on that wall. But would you listen to me? Nooo!"

Columbus' mother:
"I don't care what you've discovered, Christopher. You still could have written!"

Michelangelo's mother:
"Mike, can't you paint on walls like other children? Do you have any idea how hard it is to get that stuff off the ceiling?"

Napoleon's mother:
"All right, napoleon. If you aren't hiding your report card inside your jacket, then take your hand out of there and prove it!"

Custer's mother:
"Now, George, remember what I told you -- don't go biting off more than you can chew!"

Abraham Lincoln's mother:
"Again with the stovepipe hat, abe? Can't you just wear a baseball cap like the other kids?"

Barney's mother:
"I realize strained plums are your favorite, Barney, but you're starting to look a little purple."

Batman's mother:
"It's a nice car, Bruce, but do you realize how much the insurance is going to be?"

Goldilocks' mother:
"I've got a bill here for a busted chair from the bear family. You know anything about this, Goldie?"

Little miss Muffet's mother:
"Well, all I've got to say is if you don't get off your Tuffet and start cleaning your room, there'll be a lot more spiders around here!"

Albert Einstein's mother:
"But, Albert, it's your senior picture. Can't you do something about your hair? Styling gel, mousse, something...?"

George Washington's mother:
"The next time I catch you throwing money across the Potomac, you can kiss your allowance good-bye!"

Jonah's mother:
"That's a nice story, but now tell me where you've really been for the last three days."

Superman's mother:
"Clark, your father and I have discussed it, and we've decided you can have your own telephone line. Now will you quit spending so much time in all those phone booths?"

Thomas Edison's mother:
"Of course I'm proud that you invented the electric light bulb, Thomas. Now turn off that light and get to bed!"

Walking path

Hello Readers, I've been swamped with work for the past several days.

Let me share the world I live in. In the mornings, I go for walks through the woods.  Here is the path I take.

Both sides of the path are lined with trees - a perfect natural setup.

Further down, the path gets even greener.

There is one spot where I can wash my feet in water or touch the water with my fingers.

Here, I am at the border line of our Cobb County.  The river is Chattahoochee river and the other side is Fulton County. I smile at the fishes that come near the shore and 'talk to them' about my upcoming fishing trip.

Then I go and spend quiet time with nature, listening to the birds sing and be part of the nature living in harmony.  By observing this, I can only admire and marvel the wisdom with which our creator crafted this.
